Three separate departments, Cemetary, Street and Sanitation, are responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the City's real property and, as needed, assist the Parks and Recreation Board in care of the Jasper recreational facilities. |

Garbage is picked up by the Sanitation Department and must be placed in containers provided by the City, and put by the roadside in a correct manner, on specific days in order to be picked up. Click on the Sanitation link above for details on this and other related services.
- Trash is anything else to be discarded, such a shipping containers and boxes, tree limbs, leaves, and any other articles that are no longer wanted, other than garbage as defined above. Trash is picked up by the Street Department, usually on the same day as your garbage is collected. Trash should be piled up close to the road, but not in or on the garbage container provided by the City.
