NOTICE - Test For Human Resource Technician (Grade 14).
For the purpose of establishing a current Register of qualified applicants, the Civil Service Board of the City of Jasper will give a written exam for the position of
Human Resource Technician (Grade 14). To apply for this position applicant must be a citizen of the United States and present a copy of the following documents along with a completed application:
- Current Alabama Driver’s License
- Social Security Card
- Birth Certificate
- High School Diploma (state accredited/SACS or GED)
- Three (3) Current Letters of Recommendation (non-family)
YOU MUST PROVIDE YOUR OWN COPIES. NO COPIES WILL BE MADE BY US.
This position requires knowledge and experience in clerical and administrative duties.
Must have the ability to make independent decisions; manage and maintain office; work without direct supervision; excellent communication skills; work fast and meet deadlines; create office forms and letters; identify and correct mistakes; knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
This position involves preparing Payroll for the City of Jasper including but not limited to filing all federal/state tax reports and yearly w2’s. Must have the ability to use automated payroll systems and time keeping software; ability to explain benefits, rules and regulations pertaining to payroll; must maintain extreme accuracy; must keep abreast of all personnel policies and procedures.
