Gary has been serving District 3 since 2000. He graduated from Auburn University and UAB Medical School. He completed a residency in OB-GYN and practiced in Jasper. Gary is married to Julie Cowen and they have four children. He is a member of the First United Methodist Church and serves on the Boards of Baptist Medical Center - Walker, Daybreak Spouse Abuse Shelter and Jasper Family Resource Center
