Thanksgiving Week Garbage/Debris Collection

There will be NO Jasper garbage/debris collection on Thanksgiving - Thursday, November 25. If your garbage/debris is normally picked up on Thursdays, it will be picked up on WEDNESDAY this week. All other pickups will remain the same.

Veterans Day Garbage/Debris Pickup

Veterans Day Parade

Fire Chief Dante Fields

Dante Fields was hired as Fire Chief by the Jasper City Council, by unanimous vote, at the Council Meeting on September 21. Chief Fields had been serving as interim Fire Chief since August. 

Jenny Brown Short appointed as District 1 Councilmember

On September 21, the Jasper City Council appointed Jenny Brown Short by unanimous vote to fill the District One Council seat recently vacated by Jed Daniel. Judge Jim Brakefield immediately swore her in, and Councilmember Short continued the rest of the meeting from her seat on the Council's bench.
