April 20, 2022 - At yesterday's council meeting, Chief J.C. Poe recognized two recent academy graduates - Jasper Police Officers Octavious Dockery and Manny Flores. Chief commended both officers who did extremely well in the police academy, noting that Officer Dockery was class president. This is the second time Jasper Police Department has had a class president in the Tuscaloosa Police Academy; Officer Hannah West was class president a few years ago. Mayor O'Mary also attended their graduation in Tuscaloosa last week, and he spoke as well about both officers, commending their hard work. The city is proud to have them as part of Jasper's police force. Congratulations!
