January 19, 2022 - At this week’s council meeting the Jasper City Council adopted a resolution to allow Mayor O’Mary to enter into an agreement with CCR Architecture & Interiors for the renovation of Sherer Auditorium. Before adopting the resolution the council heard from Tammy Cohen, President of CCR Architecture & Interiors, who joined Mayor O’Mary and the council at Friday’s work session to discuss her vision and plans for the renovation. This renovation is part of the Mayor’s 4-Point Plan, a pointed investment into the future of Jasper. With the signing of this contract, planning and development will begin. Plans are expected to include restoring the structure to the original WPA construction with spaces including council chambers, administrative offices, meeting rooms, break room, and a new elevator and stair. The basement space may include small tenant spaces or rental spaces facing the stream.
