September 5, 2025 - Welcome the newest member of our Street Department truck fleet!
The Jasper City Council approved the purchase of a 2026 International MV607 SBA 4X2 brush truck in February. The truck became available this week, so Assistant Street Superintendent Billy Wade delivered the truck to City Hall yesterday.
The City of Jasper is proud to serve our citizens with new, high-quality equipment.
There will be no Jasper garbage/debris collection on Monday, September 1, 2025, due to the Labor Day holiday. Collection through the week will be delayed by one day beginning with the regular Monday pickups occurring on Tuesday.
All non-essential city offices will be closed on Monday, September 1, 2025, and will reopen for regular business hours on Tuesday, September 2, 2025.

Election day is less than a week away! Polls will be open on Tuesday, August 26 from 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM. All Jasper voters will vote at the Jasper Civic Center.
NOTICE: The public testing of the municipal electronic tabulators will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, starting at 9:00 a.m. at the County Engineer's Office at the Walker County Airport-Bevill Field. The public is welcome.

July 23, 2025 - The 2025 Municipal Election is on August 26th. Polls will be open from 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM at the Jasper Civic Center for Jasper residents.

July 6, 2025 - We are saddened by the loss of a beautiful historical building in the heart of downtown Jasper. The heroic efforts of the Jasper firefighters contained the blaze earlier today and they remain on the scene to prevent any possible spread of fire to other facilities. Jasper officials thank the fire and police departments for their professionalism and tireless efforts to prevent injury and loss of property from this event.
July 3, 2025 - NOTICE: Beginning on Monday, July 7, 2025, the following departments will be open and accessible at the new Jasper City Hall located at 121 17th Street West: Garbage Billing, Business License, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Human Resources, Purchasing, and Administration. Jasper Municipal Court and Court offices will remain at its current location at 400 19th Street West.
