Brush Pickup Temporarily Delayed

brush truck update post-severe weather

June 10, 2025 - UPDATE from Jasper Street Superintendent Russ Smallwood:

We had great success yesterday getting rid of the storm debris with the help of Newman's Tree Service, the city's contractor. Our spare BBT will be used along with our dump trucks the rest of the week for storm debris. We will start the BBTs on their Monday routes today. If we continue with all five trucks for the rest of the week, we should be in good shape for next week.

Thank you to the Jasper Police Dept., the Jasper Fire Dept., Alabama Power, and local citizens who jumped in to help. That Electric Company came out and safely secured the broken street light poles. Helpful citizens recovered blown down flags from Hwy 78 and turned them in for safekeeping until they can be properly placed again. A true team effort!

June 9, 2025 - NOTICE: Due to the large amount of storm debris from the recent storms, the Jasper Street Department will temporarily suspend normal brush pickup routes until all of the debris in the roads and right of ways can be cleared.

For any requests for debris pickup, please submit a SERVICE REQUEST on our website: https://jasper-al.tekconnectgov.com/. Once you create a profile and login to submit the details of your request, you will be able to track the status online.

Regular routes will resume as soon as possible. We thank you for your patience and apologize for any inconvenience.
