November 3, 2022 - The Jasper City Council approved an event permit for a Veterans Day parade requested by local VFW Post 4850. The parade will be this Saturday morning, November 5, with an anticipated start time of approximately 10:00 am. There are people scheduled to speak prior to the parade on the Courthouse Square, including Mayor David O'Mary.
There will be temporary road closures to accommodate this event. Roadblocks will be on Viking Drive/19th Street from T.R. Simmons Elementary to 6th Avenue, 18th Street from Highland Ave to 6th Ave, Highland Ave from 18th to 19th, and on 2nd and 3rd Avenues from 18th Street to 20th Street as seen below. Please be aware of these closures on Saturday morning, travel safely, and enjoy the parade!
